Automation Engineer
Ready for new challenges in a dynamic environment? We’re looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Device Development Software Team at our headquarters in Ulvila, Finland.
As an Automation Engineer, your primary focus is functioning as an Application Engineer. In this role, you’ll:
Act as the first point of contact for deploying new features and resolving any issues or unexpected behaviours.
Pursue the role of an Application Engineer, bridging the gap between development and delivery project teams by translating technical details into practical insights.
Test and validate new features to ensure quality.
Contribute to development work and driving innovation in automation.
Working in our Scrum team, you’ll use the latest tools and practices, including DevOps and Git workflows. Based at our headquarters, you’ll split time between the office and workshop, with only occasional travel.
What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software or automation engineering
Experience with CodeSYS and object-oriented programming, either generally or within CodeSYS
Strong communication skills and comfort working with global team members
Understanding of dependencies between mechanical systems, electrical controls and software
Ability to learn quickly and absorb new information efficiently
Fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
Familiarity with Python, OPC-UA, REST, WebSockets, and JSON/YAML syntax is considered an advantage
Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and Git workflows is considered as an asset
Experience with CodeSYS IDE and Visual Studio Code is a plus
