Kuvaus
As a Category Specialist, you will work closely with Direct Procurement Category Team in the areas of Electric components and assemblies. Additionally, you will collaborate actively with various internal and external stakeholders on a local and global level.
In Electric components and assemblies Category we are working with engineering teams and global suppliers to develop and supply control and automation units.
In the execution of these activities, you will be working cross-functionally and globally with businesses across Konecranes’ organizations to understand the business needs, opportunities, and strategic goals to empower Konecranes to perform.

Work tasks
- Act as supplier manager for selected suppliers, driving supplier performance and ensuring continuous improvement in Konecranes Supply Chain and Total Cost of Ownership
- Support category management by execution of procurement activities as directed e.g., driving the tendering process; contract negotiations with selected suppliers; and sourcing of alternative suppliers;
- Support development and deployment of detailed category plans aligned with category strategies.
- Identification of potential risks in the supply chain and developing mitigation plans, ensuring a stable and reliable supply of products
- Contract and spend data collection, analysis, stakeholder consultation, and benchmarking for specific categories.
We are looking for
- A suitable educational background (e.g., Procurement, Business, suitable Engineering or Manufacturing degree)
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work physically in Hyvinkää and Espoo
Previous work experience in similar tasks (industrial manufacturing sourcing, purchasing contracts, electrical components supply chain, etc.) is advantageous.
