Would you be our new Chief Layout Engineer?
We are looking for Chief Layout Engineer to join the dedicated team at Metso. In this position, you are responsible for managing and coordinating the plant engineering activities of our global plant delivery projects. Role will also require hands-on engineering work so it’s not entirely coordination. Your main task as Chief Engineer would be to act as a project lead for layout discipline and manage quality, schedule, and cost in your projects. The position can be also modified based on your experience, and you can start as a Layout Engineer with potential to grow gradually into Chief Engineer role. In this role, you will also participate in developing Metso’s plants and engineering solutions, as well as provide support and plan requirements to equipment engineering and procurement.
The position is permanent and full-time, and located in Espoo with hybrid working model. As our projects are global, we also offer opportunities for international assignments or visits to our customer sites.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you need to have a technical education (B.Eng., M.Eng., or M.Sc.) and a few years of relevant work experience. Familiarity with some of our most-used CAD tools (MicroStation 3D, Aveva E3D, Plant 3D) is appreciated. We expect you to have fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
As a person, we are looking for someone with a precise working style who can effectively plan, schedule, coordinate, and solve problems. You should have a proactive and independent way of working. We highly value strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients.
Why us?
We value our dedicated and driven professionals. As an important part of our highly motivated and skilled team, you contribute directly to our shared success. We offer you an exciting opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders, supported by an open-minded, international and friendly community of experts. You'll have the flexibility to work partly remotely, along with excellent opportunities to develop your professional skills and knowledge in a cutting-edge company at the forefront of its industry. We're committed to your success and will provide you with a comprehensive onboarding and a supportive environment where you can truly thrive.
