Are you interested in becoming a data science trainee in Helsinki?
As a data scientist trainee you would work as part of the development team of Granlund Manager, our flagship SaaS product. Our goal is to set up a centralized solution for statistics, AI, and algorithm development complete with data pipelines. In your work you will be directed and mentored by our experienced architect with former experience in mentoring junior data scientists. We also have a centralized data office that can provide support and examples of AI solutions and data flows in Granlund.
As a data science trainee, you will have the opportunity to work on tasks such as
- Building an AI and machine learning environment for Granlund Manager from scratch
- Designing and implementing data pipelines and related components
- Collaborating with the architect to select tools and technologies best suited for scientific purposes, with potential options including:
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse
- MLflow
- Developing solutions primarily using Python.
To apply for the position, you should close to completing your studies at university level (Bachelor's or Master's degree). Our ideal candidate is part mathematician and part programmer. Either a full-fledged mathematician eager to learn programming or a programmer with mathematics as their major/minor at university. You can also be a recent graduate who wants to kickstart your career. We are looking for someone who is close to graduation and would transition smoothly to working with us while completing their studies (or immediately if you won't have any studies left). The working language is mixed English/Finnish and we expect you to have at least a basic knowledge of the Finnish language even though primary working language can be English.
Your workplace will be in our Helsinki office, where our experienced experts will be there to support you. After the initial orientation, we are very flexible with remote work.
