Tietoa tehtävästä
CSC - IT Center for Science (Finland) is offering an exciting position working with leading supercomputer platforms and cutting-edge science. We are involved in various national and international projects where researchers develop new models and algorithms that need resources from the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, including world’s #5 supercomputer, LUMI, hosted by CSC.
We are now looking for one or more persons for permanent positions in HPC Software Developer, HPC Researcher, and HPC Technologist roles.
The main duties and responsibilities include enabling and optimizing scientific modeling software and related workflows to LUMI, other European exa-scale systems, the national supercomputing infrastructure and experimental HPC platforms. You will be contributing and providing your expertise to several development projects in different HPC software packages.
We expect proven track record in programming supercomputers (C, C++, Fortran and parallelization methods such as MPI and OpenMP), GPU programming (e.g. CUDA/HIP, OpenACC, OpenMP, SYCL, Kokkos) as well as code optimization, performance analysis and debugging tools. In addition, knowledge and certifications in modern software development methodologies are appreciated. Experience and interest on HPC hardware and Machine Learning can be a bonus. The exact tasks will depend on the experience, skills and interests of the successful candidates.
We are seeking a person with M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. We appreciate scientific domain expertise in a field utilizing HPC. International connections are an asset.
