Would you be our new Instrumentation Engineer?

We are seeking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join Metso Minerals Plant and Solution Delivery. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will work as part of international engineering and delivery projects. Your key responsibilities include selecting and sizing instruments for target processes based on process and control requirements. You will manage and create instrumentation documentation, including instrument lists, loop lists, and hook-up drawings for projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for commissioning instrumentation at customer sites. You will also play a crucial role in developing instrumentation and process control concepts for selected plant types and act as an instrumentation specialist for specific process areas.

Role’s seniority can be modified based on your expertise and experience. First you will work on projects with the support of a more experienced design colleague, and as you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility for larger entities. Your office is located at our Espoo headquarters, but you can work flexibly from home in a hybrid model.

What are we looking for?

To succeed in this position, you will need to have B.Sc. degree in relevant field (e.g., Automation or Electrical engineering) and an understanding of automation solutions, P&ID and circuit diagrams, and experience with CAD design software. We hope you already have prior experience of working as an engineer in a heavy industry environment, and you are eager to learn more of instrumentation engineering. Working in an international environment, you will need fluent spoken and written English language skills.
