We are now looking for a Quality, Environment, Health and Safety expert. As QEHS Specialist, you maintain our management system and continuously improve our operational excellence. You will join our QEHS team consisting of half a dozen quality and safety professionals and your VTT office location can be either Espoo, Tampere or Oulu. We work in a hybrid model and the role also includes some travelling in Finland. We collaborate closely with a network of other QEHS roles throughout the organisation. Our team maintains and improves VTT’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified operating system, and thus supports VTT’s mission of solving global challenges through science and technology.
Support management, sales, project managers, research scientists and laboratory staff in QEHS related matters
Actively plan and conduct internal audits
Participate in external audits
Participate in internal development projects
Support the organization in risk assessments and mitigation planning
Participate in complaint and deviation handling processes
Participate in management reviews
Maintain and improve QMS documentation (process descriptions, instructions, templates)
Hold trainings and communicate QEHS related matters to the personnel.
Ensure management system compliance with the standards’ requirements together with the team
Previous work experience from a QEHS role.
Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Studies in Q/E/HS.
Knowledge in data analysis and statistical aptitude.
Lean approach to quality.
Fluent Finnish and English skills, both written and spoken.
Tech-savviness
Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Experience of at least one of the following: Project quality, ISO 27001, AQAP, ISO 13485.
Have excellent communication and interaction skills and enjoy networking.
Are target oriented and take the initiative.
Have a mindset towards operational excellence and continuous improvement.
