We are looking for a Project Planner to work in the Education and Culture Services with Tampere Welcoming City development program for a fixed-term from the 28th of October 2024 until the 31st of December 2025.

Tampere Welcoming City is a development program within the Central Administration of the City of Tampere. The aim of the development program is to influence the attraction and retention of international residents in Tampere in a positive way. As a Project Planner your primary responsibility will be advancing the goals of the Tampere Welcoming City development program within the Education and Cultural Services. You will participate in the Welcoming City development program team as a representative of the Education and Cultural Services. Your closest colleagues will be experts in basic education, early childhood education, culture, sports, equality and well-being.

Your work will focus on three key areas, which are:

-Service Review: Conduct a review of various services, such as sports services and early childhood education, from the perspective of international residents in Tampere, with support from service experts. Based on identified areas for improvement, you will initiate development actions and propose measures to be included in future development plans.

-Training for Organizations: Provide training for local non-profit organizations, such as wellbeing associations and cultural organizations, on how to engage more international residents to their own activities.

-Activity Calendar Development: Enhance the existing activity calendar with the calendar development team to better serve the needs of international residents in Tampere and plan marketing efforts to reach the target audience.

Additionally other relevant and required tasks that are needed to reach the shared goals. The specific emphasis of your work will be determined as the project progresses. To succeed in this role, you will need strong social and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently on project-based tasks within extensive networks.

We require you to have a relevant higher education degree, whether at the bachelor's or master's level. Also, proficiency in written and spoken English is required, while a beginner level of Finnish is sufficient.

It will be beneficial if you have experience working in an expert organization and in different networks. We appreciate experience with themes related to immigration and education and culture, and basic knowledge in communication and presentation.

The salary consists of a position-specific salary of 3483,90€ / month, a work experience allowance, and possibly other allowances.
