We are looking for a
HEAD OF CATEGORY, PROCESS CHEMICALS
to join our Raw Materials and Packaging sourcing team, in our Espoo or Tampere offices.
What's your role in the future Metsä?
You will be responsible for leading process chemicals sourcing category and you will participate in Metsä Group wide category sourcing development. You will work as a team member of Raw Materials and Packaging sourcing category team and report to VP, Sourcing and Logistics, Raw Materials and Packaging.
Key responsibilities:
- Metsä Group wide sourcing in process chemicals category (RFX, contract negotiations, contract lifecycle management)
- Long range and tactical planning together with stakeholders
- Category and supplier analysis
- Supplier quality and performance management
- Leading category work and category related communication
- Develop and facilitate Metsä Group sourcing practices in your own category areas
- Category performance management and reporting
- Close co-operation with the mills and other stakeholders
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a socially talented person who has experience in production, quality, chemical products or sourcing operations with excellent negotiation and sourcing management skills. It is an advantage if you are familiar with procurement processes.
You are determined with a desire to develop sourcing processes thoroughly and comprehensively. In order to be successful in this position you need the ability to see the big picture and via it lead sourcing work in your category with group of stakeholders. The role does not have direct supervisor responsibility but good leadership and interaction skills are needed, as this role relates to many business areas in Metsä Group.
You understand the importance of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You have a suitable education, preferably a technical or commercial university degree but other degrees with extensive relevant work experience are also possible.
This task requires fluency in both verbal and written English. Finnish and Swedish language skills are an advantage.
