We are looking for
IT/OT SPECIALIST
to join Metsä Group ICT in Lappeenranta, Joutseno and Simpele area.
What will you get to do?
As an IT/OT Specialist you will work at our business units in Local ICT Services function as part of a team of experienced ICT professionals. In this position you will work especially at IT/OT interface to ensure that needed ICT Services for the business units are being delivered according to agreed requirements. You will take leadership to coordinate the ICT scope of agreed local projects especially regarding automation and production system builds and renewals. The job requires travelling domestically.
Key responsibilities:
- managing the ICT scope delivery of agreed mill specific projects according to the requirements (e.g., technical and information security requirements)
- providing OT knowledge to ICT
- providing ICT knowledge to mill production/automation organization
- performing erection supervision tasks for ICT infrastructure installations
What kind of skills are we looking for?
In order to strengthen Metsä Group’s reputation as an organization with superior ICT knowledge of all different aspects of ICT and at IT/OT interface, we expect you to have
- an educational degree in computing or automation and at least couple of year years working experience in ICT and automation discipline/process industry.
- capability to enhance the feedback of technical information from the ICT teams towards local businesses and to bring local business needs towards ICT.
- an ambition to act as a resource to local business to improve mill’s ICT and OT quality and efficiency.
- efficient and cooperative skills with the ability to work and contribute proactively and independently, in teams and across the organization.
- the ability to take responsibility in multi-discipline projects and tasks especially at IT/OT interface.
- fluent in Finnish and English.
Essential job functions
- Work requires a good knowledge of ICT technologies and mills’ (process industry) automation/IT processes and technologies (e.g., network technologies [TCP/IP, Profinet], cybersecurity).
- Basic knowledge of PLC technology and PLC programming in Siemens environment will be counted as an asset.
- Good organizational and co-operational skills required as well as the ability to conceptualize and understand various ICT and OT related challenges and issues.
